i am right now at the point of streaming video ( which is live tv or online tv or internet tv ) from what can become my living room. the video format will be one of two or three that you will view, avi ( audio video interleave ) and nsv ( nulsoft streaming video ); avi, and even flv ( flash video ) if archived and available online for later viewing. mpeg-1 ( vcd, video cassette disc ), mpeg-4, mpa, wma, asf, mp3, quicktime (version 2 and lower). other file formats and compression types supported with additional installation of corresponding codecs, such as ogg, divx, xvid, vp6, apple mp4, ac3, h.264, mpeg ( moving picture experts group), wmv ( windows media video ), mpg ( mpeg ) and mp2 ( mpeg-2 is a standard for "the generic coding of moving pictures and associated audio information".[1] It describes a combination of lossy video compression and lossy audio compression (audio data compression) methods which permit storage and transmission of movies using currently available storage media and transmission bandwidth. svcd, super video cassette disc, dvd, digital versatile disc or digital video disc ) if made compatible for streaming using software programs like virtual cameras and cam splitters or if my computer and servers support it and no conversion is available because personally i prefer nsv.
you may view these with something like what i view online tv with, several freeware media players that allow me to view these streams as they enter my computer from the internet. all the newer computer software comes with enough of this software all ready. there are many such freeware programs out there for older computers as well. i have used windows media player ( http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/AllDownloads.aspx?displang=en&qstechnology= ), realplayer ( http://www.real.com/ ), mplayer windows gui ( http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/dload.html ) and winamp ( http://www.winamp.com/player ) and on rare occasion quicktime ( http://quicktime.softwarecenterz.com/?OVRAW=quicktime&OVKEY=quicktime&OVMTC=standard&OVADID=11657223022&OVKWID=35362261022 ) since i rarely use the quicktime format. there is also viewing the flash files with a free activex control you can install at http://2008-official.com/flash/ i need help so i am sending out these letters to business all over i think can benefit from advertising. till we start streaming i will ask you nothing, even now i will ask nothing, just show you and suggest things you can do.
first for consideration if you have content for airing, we sure do need copyright free material to fill the time with. this gives you a chance to show off as an amateur in what ever you do. it can be about any thing interesting and any length of time, one minute, a few minutes, a half hour or even several hours. i can help with editing it for you, attach an ad giving credit to you so that when it is seen it suggests people come to you for more on it. when it is viewed by hundreds and thousands of people it becomes profitable. once i have enough free material to stream for a good twenty four hours it will start. the only thing stopping me is lack of viewing material. if you have no problem with simply sending it to me then send it to

the videos will be streamed using a software server here which streams avi, if our server is hosted by online servers then this multiplies, several video types, several servers, and many many viewers, since each server has a limit but combined the limit becomes less. an average modem box/router device configured to easily let through may be one hundred viewers at a time for a live stream ( even more if our personal server is hosted by other online servers ) and at the same time a archive of all videos made available for an entire internet of viewers.
this thing will be advertised all over, the advertising itself will be viewed by thousands of internet browsers.
